There are no accounts on this site, no analytics of any kind, and the calculator never sends anything you type to a server.

The calculator

It runs entirely in your browser. The tariff you enter, the price you paid and how often you use a thing are never transmitted, never logged and never stored. Close the tab and they are gone. This is not a policy decision that could be reversed quietly, it is how the page is built: there is no endpoint to send them to.

Fonts and assets

Every font, stylesheet and script is served from this domain. There is no Google Fonts call, no CDN and no analytics service of any kind, here or anywhere on the site. Nothing measures you, because nothing is measuring anything.

Advertising

The banner slots on our articles are filled by an affiliate network, and the banner image itself is loaded from that network's server rather than from ours. That request tells the network your IP address and the page you are on, and it may set a cookie, in the same way that any image loaded from another site would. It happens when the page loads, not when you click. This is the one third party request the site makes and it is worth being plain about, because the section above would otherwise be misleading.

We do not use that data, do not receive it, and could not build a profile from it if we wanted to. What we get back is a count of how many times a banner was shown and how many times it was clicked, per campaign, which is stored on our own server and contains nothing that identifies you. Blocking third party images stops the banners loading and changes nothing else about the site: no figure, no table and no part of the calculator depends on them.

Server logs

Our host keeps standard web server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not shared.

Affiliate links

If you click an affiliate link you leave this site, and the retailer or its affiliate network will set its own cookies to attribute the referral. That is their processing under their own policy, which is worth reading if it matters to you. We record the click on our own server too, so we know which page produced it. That record is the campaign, the slot and the page, plus a one way hash of your IP address and the date, which exists only so the same click is not counted twice and cannot be turned back into an address.
